My name is Chris Ownbey.
I have been a personal trainer for over 30 years.
Now in my 50’s. My mission is to help men and women 40 and older live longer, happier, healthier lives.
We cannot do the same workouts we did when we were younger. Most of the information written on exercise and nutrition is geared toward the younger generation. Following this advice can lead to frustration, confusion, and possible injury.
My program is age appropriate. We do not leave the ground doing box jumps or burpees.
It’s not about vanity but longevity. It’s about gaining strength, flexibility, and balance.
I offer 30-minute workouts in a private studio with zero distractions serving Carrollton, Dallas, and Plano.

The 40s – This is the time of your life when our bodies naturally start to decline as we get older. Our muscles begin to lose mass and elasticity, slowing our metabolism and making it easier to gain weight.
Not getting enough physical activity can lead to heart disease—even for people who have no other risk factors. It can also increase the likelihood of developing dangerous risk factors, such as obesity, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, and type 2 diabetes.
The good news is that exercise can positively influence your current and future health path. Physical activity decreases the risk of many of these diseases, including coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breast and colon cancers, and poor mental health.
In the first meeting, an initial physical evaluation will be be completed to extensively assess your range of motion, strength, balance, and flexibility. Once completed, you will have a better understanding of your physical condition and any limitations that are directly affecting your performance. The next step will be to work together to develop a personalized program to address these limitations and improve your overall condition.
First meetings are available at noon on Sat and Sunday mornings.
